TCR ATSCO in Kuwait wins a Stress Analysis project from KOC

TCR ATSCO based in Kuwait have won a project of stress analysis of a main header line.

The entire line was previously buried under ground but it has been now dug and exposed. KOC, the client was experiencing some leakage problems due to gasket leaks which they presumed was due to vibrations originating after exposing the line. KOC removed soil to about 3 meters below the line. The line was designed as per the underground operations and now since the line is exposed to up to 3 meters from the bottom, client is facing vibration problems and hence the gasket leaks. The line also has insufficient supports to hold the operating pressures.

KOC has asked TCR ATSCO in Kuwait to conduct stress analysis, identify stress and load areas and to recommend and propose support type and locations.

TCR ATSCO will be doing the piping stress analysis as UG or AG line with modelling of nodes on CEASAR II for stress analysis. Node is one piping element say, flange, pipe, valve etc.
